From Mobile Mechanic to Local Industry Leader
Haydn Meager, founder and owner of Motorart Autos, has spent his life in the motor trade. Before taking over and rebranding what was once Platinum Autocare, Haydn:
- Managed garages and trained apprentices at Yeovil College
- Headed the quality department at Bridgwater College
- Ran his own mobile mechanic business near his home
When the Nailsea site came up for sale, he saw the opportunity to create something better: a garage known for specialist work, transparent pricing, and genuine care for its customers.
Initially quieter than expected, Haydn quickly rebuilt the brand, growing through referrals from other garages who now rely on him for technical jobs they won’t touch. In just a few short months, Motorart Autos grew from a quiet rebrand to one of Nailsea’s most trusted garages, thanks to complex, high-value work and strong word-of-mouth from local garages and customers alike

With decades of hands-on experience, a teaching background, and a reputation for solving problems others can’t, Haydn is the heartbeat of Motorart Autos. He combines technical mastery with a friendly, down-to-earth approach that makes customers feel at ease.
Paul – Technician (Part-Time)
Paul supports the workshop during busy periods and shares Haydn’s meticulous attention to detail.

Community-Rooted, Future-Ready
Haydn has no plans to chase volume for volume’s sake. But as the business continues to grow, future expansions are being considered, including a potential MOT bay installation in partnership with the landlord. For now, all MOTs are outsourced to a trusted partner, and Haydn manages the process to keep things convenient for customers.
We’re also exploring ways to engage younger families in the local area, especially those moving into new housing developments in Nailsea.
